Project Description

Ramesh Hospitals has bagged the prestigious Asian Hospital Management Award – Innovations in Healthcare Technology for its 3-2- 9 program which is aimed at providing better healthcare services. The award was presented in Manila, Philippines on August 24, in which 102 hospitals from 17 countries submitted entries.

The 3-2- 9 program is designed to track and monitor the progress of discharged patients for upto 6 weeks post discharge through a combination of at-home visits and periodic tele-consultations with counsellors and Doctors. The 3-2- 9 program is delivered by combining the power of analytics, adoption of advanced technology and processes that connect specialist doctors with patients even after their discharge.

A care advocate typically visits the patient at their house on the 3 rd day after discharge which is followed up with 6 tele-consultations to track the patient’s recovery and check compliance with protocols. As a result of this continuous monitoring program, early symptoms of post-surgical complications are identified in a timely manner thereby reducing the need for complicated readmissions and the risk of mortalities. Further, there is enhanced compliance with prescribed medication and discharge instructions to ensure that patient has a quick recovery. Dr.P.Pamesh Babu, Managing Director, said “We have witnessed a 25% reduction in patient readmissions due to reduction in post-surgery complications and a 33% increase in patient satisfaction as a result of this program.” K-Arogia was the knowledge and technology partner for the 3-2- 9 program.

On Aug 17, Ramesh Hospitals received national recognition from the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and was presented with the Annual Healthcare Award in New Delhi for this innovative program in the Patient Centricity category.

Ramesh Hospitals was established 30 years ago by cardiologist Dr.P.Ramesh Babu. It is no mean achievement for a regional hospital like Ramesh Hospitals in Andhra Pradesh to receive such recognition at the National and International level.

After Ramesh Hospitals partnered with Aster DM Healthcare in 2016, the company has initiated several quality improvement measures and innovative solutions. All the 3 hospitals operated by Ramesh Hospitals in Vijayawada and Guntur are NABH (National Accreditation Board for Healthcare providers) accredited.
